Step to Legalization of Passengers Transport

May 16, 2011 the Agreement between the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Transport Field Employers’ Federation of Ukraine, Ukrainian Association of Road Carriers, NGO’s ‘Union of Drivers of Ukraine’ and the NGO’ ‘Union of Carriers of Ukraine’ which is aimed at promoting the effective changes in matters of legalization of passenger traffic was signed.

In particular, the parties agreed to hold a series of measures, among them - working with governments and bankson the issue of soft loans for purchasing the buses and conditions of exemption from import payments of importing vehicles under 5 years old. To better meet the interests of both business and consumer services it is planned to study the need for additional buses on routes.

In order to simplify the paperwork and to eliminate the corruption the procedure of granting the bus route passport will be changed. In a 3-months period the exclusive list of documents for the passengers carriage will be determined, as well as the amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On Automobile Transport’ to remove from the list of required two documents of STP.
