Construction companies in Ukraine in January-April 2013 compared to the same period in 2012 reduced the amount of work by 16.2% - to UAH 13.743 billion, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

According to the State Statistics Service, in January-April this year compared to the same period in 2012 construction companies have reduced the amount of work on the construction of buildings by 13% - to UAH 6.613 billion.

In particular, the work on the construction of residential buildings fell by 3.4% - up to 2.453 billion USD, and the construction of non-residential buildings decreased by 17.8% - to 4.16 billion USD. The scope of work of construction of engineering structures fell by 19.1% - to UAH 7.129 billion.

State Statistics Service said that working with new construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment amounted to 84.3% of the total, overhaul works - 8.1%, and maintenance - 7,6%.

According to the State Statistics Service, construction companies Kyiv in January-April 2013 compared to the same period in 2012 reduced the amount of work by 29.1% - to UAH 3.045 billion, completing 22.2% of the total work in the country.
