Alexander Popov intends to expand the network of incubators for small and medium businesses


The city government plans to increase the number of Kiev business incubators to support small and medium sized businesses. This was stated by chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov during his visit to Kyiv innovative business incubator iHUB.

Kyiv Mayor thanked the staff of a business incubator for effective assistance and creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs and startup teams working in the field of information technology.

"Business Incubator iHUB extremely successful example of public-private partnerships. Despite the fact that he started not so long ago, we already have excellent results. Thus, one of the startups iHUB already received an invitation for an internship in Silicon Valley in the United States. After training, he will return to Kyiv and will continue this work. However, our main goal - is to create innovative parkuBionic Hill, which will create up to 20,000 jobs. The project aims to implement research, innovation, IT training business and with today's technology and partnership with one of the renowned foreign universities, "- said Alexander Popov.

The head of the KSCA also assured that the city government will provide support to companies investing in the development of the capital's business, especially innovative technologies, because it is a priority for economic development. He recalled that at the initiative of the President of Ukraine launched a large-scale process of deregulation of business, introduced a package of laws that promote job creation, provide investors tax benefits and legal protection.

Recall that innovation incubator iHUB opened in Kiev in late 2012. Initiated its creation were the International Charity Fund "Ukraine Seed Forum", which supports the initiatives of IT professionals in more than 40 countries, Commerce and Industry of Ukraine and the State Industrial Development Corporation of Norway, SIVA. The target audience is business incubator seniors, students and entrepreneurs who create projects in the field of information technology. To date, the projects have to develop 15 startup companies, the authors further 10 projects were virtual incubator residents (ie without jobs but with the right to attend all events incubator).
