City council gave the nod to the full implementation of "Card from Kiev"

For a decision at a meeting of city council on April 17 voted 74 deputies.

"Full implementation of the project will issue a card to all privileged categories of citizens (about 425,000 people) and start issuing cards to all residents of the city," - he said.

It should be noted that in early March, the head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov acknowledged the failure of the project "card from Kiev" because of bureaucratic delays.

"We" Card from Kiev "launched in September (2012), and it failed. Went four months with the bureaucratic aspects. Already have introduced these cards, and we would have a completely different situation, including the issue of transport," - Popov said.

However, officials say that authorities are now working to expand the capabilities of the card - the activation of commercial, municipal, medical and other applications.

In the pilot phase of the project cardholders have the following advantages: free rides on the subway (note that the pensioners who were issued cards, and used to have the right to free travel - pension certificate), 25-30% discount on 86 medications at a rate of 62 pharmacies KP "Pharmacy", the opening of bank deposit account for 12.5% ​​and the possibility of withdrawing cash, making payments of goods and services without commission.
