The number of investors wishing to invest in Ukraine means rapidly reduced, particularly by increasing the level of corruption.

This was stated in an interview with Andre Kuusvek "Ukrainian Week", the director of development financing in local currencies and local capital markets of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

"Investment conditions last year were so unfavorable that the production in Ukraine EBRD made money in only one project ($ 10 million manufacturer of promotional products Kharkov UBC Promo). This is incredible! Ukraine! 45 million people, gigantic territory "- said Kuusvek.

"But the number of investors willing to invest money here, is rapidly reduced, particularly by increasing the level of corruption," - he added.

According to experts, the investment climate depends on criteria such as capabilities, macroeconomic and financial stability and the real operation of its economy.

The Economist notes that Ukraine has risen on the World Bank's Doing Business in 2012 to nine steps. However, he said, still on this scale, Ukraine is among the high-risk countries in Asia and Africa.

"We have seen some progress in the implementation of some reforms in 2011, however in 2012 and was lost year. In particular, through elections. So I will be surprised if up to 2013 your state rise in the ranking, "- said Kuusvek.

"Bureaucracy and pressure on the real sector, corruption and complex laws are abnormal in terms of development and make clear to investors issues that interfere improve the business climate" - summarizes the expert.
