Those who live in Ukraine, foreign businessmen are most dissatisfied with corruption


Foreigners noted the high level of bureaucracy and corruption in all state institutions, as well as the lack of professionalism of their staff.
 
My stay and work in Ukraine in general satisfied with the 58% of the company "Ernst & Young" respondents.

Among the negative aspects of life in Ukraine say foreign corruption (38%) and bureaucracy (14%). In addition, very often mentioned roughness (30% of responses) and lack of respect for each other, to which foreigners are found in public places and transport.

However, 61% of foreign citizens celebrate openness, friendliness and hospitality of Ukrainians, another 19% say their hard work and high motivation. Most foreign nationals (54%) said they would recommend their friends to visit Ukraine as an interesting country for tourism. The most popular among tourists is Lviv (65%), and foreigners are attracted Odessa (38%), Kiev (35%), Crimea (19%) and Yalta (14%).

64% of respondents speak poorly about the business climate in Ukraine. Among the main problems they emit: corruption (75%), taxation (49%), customs and trade regulations (45%), political instability (43%).

After years of work in Ukraine, many foreigners had to go to different state institutions, and only 12% of all survey participants remained positive impression of this interaction. Many foreigners have noted the high level of bureaucracy and corruption in all state institutions, as well as the lack of professionalism of their staff. Foreign staff met repeatedly with corruption in customs, tax, registration structures and vessels.

76% foreign owned Ukrainian or Russian language, and some languages ​​of the two, with half of the respondents indicated level of "above average."

The main reasons for a visit to Ukraine of the respondents are: long trip (38%), business (20%) and personal reasons (31%). More than half of foreign nationals residing in the territory of Ukraine with the family (58%), another 4% of the family members from time to time come to Ukraine.

Most of the respondents of foreign nationals working and living in Ukraine for one to three years (32%), some three to five years (20%), and about a third of the respondents live in the country for more than five years. To stay in Ukraine for more than five years plan 34% of foreign nationals, a further 32% - from one year to three years.

Returned to their home country for personal reasons or because of the negative aspects of life (27% for each cause), in 23% of cases are leaving Ukraine in connection with the limited career opportunities. Among the reasons respondents cited poor business climate, instability and corruption in the state, or the need for children's education. However, some respondents noted that see no reason to return to the country of origin.

The study "Ernst and Young" took part 225 foreigners living and working in Ukraine. Most of them (48%) from the countries of the European Union, and 34% - the U.S., there are also citizens of the CIS countries, Australia, India, Iran, Serbia, and others. The survey participants are from 15 different industries, including: 10% work in the banking sector, 10% - in education and 12% - in the provision of professional services.

About half of survey respondents are business owners, members of the upper and senior management (for example, 4% - the owners, 26% - Chairman and CEO), and about 40% of the sample were members of professional managers.
